Standard Supply is one of the largest HVAC supply companies in the state of Texas with 26 locations in the state as well as 5 locations in the state of Oklahoma. They are a distributor of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment and related parts and supplies in the HVAC/R industry. They have earned the reputation of having the largest and broadest line of HVAC supplies with a passionate focus on delivering solutions to their contractors and setting the standard for the HVAC supply industry. Standard Supply chose the Unilog platform to implement some major upgrades in service and experience for their contractors such as the AHRI System Finder. impaqX additionally provided an enhanced UI/UX design as well as implemented 4 customizations including split-order functionality, vendor-managed inventory, shopper budget management, and expended user capabilities. These enhancements are only the beginning, and we look forward to Standard Supply’s future growth online and in-store.
Project Overview
- Integration | The customer came to us with the Epicor P21 ERP. After the initial integration kicked off, we discovered the customer had multiple contracts assigned to each customer. We reached out to Mind Harbor for APIs that would support the requirement. They specialize in this area of need for many P21 customers. We used P21’s tax calculation functionality and World Pay for credit card transactions.
- Product Data | Standard Supply went live with 14, 281 items on their site and continues to grow. In addition to the standard product content search, Standard Supply wanted to implement a tool for their HVAC customers to easily find matched systems. The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) certification program assesses the equipment with accurate and unbiased evaluations, guaranteeing what its members sell are quality systems. The numeric codes they assign to these systems were leveraged to build a tool for Standard Supply’s customers to find those systems and components easily and efficiently with ease. - UI/UX design | ImpaqX worked with Standard Supply’s ideas to create a custom design enhancing the user experience and expanding their capabilities. with 4 customizations:
- Support Users with Multiple Customer Accounts – Allowing this user to have one log in while managing multiple accounts.
- Multi-location ordering – This is the first time this has been done on the Unilog platform. A user can order both pickup and delivery from multiple locations all in one single order. This is on par with larger corporation functionality such as Home Depot.
- Shopper Budget Management – spend limit and a multi-level approval process for specific users
- Vendor Managed Inventory – This feature allows the user to create multiple inventory lists and enter a min/max quantity for each item on those lists.
