Project Overview
Homebase USA came to us with the desire to redesign their website and bring forward features and functionality that keeps up with larger competitors. The home page had older graphics and struggled to get the customer engagement they were hoping for.
Key Features and Functionality:
- The Google Merchant Center feed – The slickest and high impact functionality added was bringing real-time products data details, pricing, and availability to their Google Merchant account. From this feed, we worked with Homebase to run targeted advertising, track performance of clicks, impressions, and conversions. The results brought Homebase to the top search results if the user was looking for items near one of the available stores.
- Refresh the design to modernize the look and feel
- Added item flags to identify different promotions and specials for items. Flags are clickable and take the user to a list page with all items under those specified tags
- Get quote functionality allows the user to create/build multiple quotes. Once a user logs in and navigates to their quote list page, they can manage the items within that list and email it to the store directly, share or print the quote.
- Advanced announcement banner gives Homebase the flexibility of putting important messaging to customers shopping the site. The idea was to use this for national emergencies or marketing purposes.
