They live up to their moniker “The Everything Store” by offering quality merchandise, competitive prices, and the best customer service possible. Family Center Farm & Home has 6 stores in Missouri and one in Paola, KS. They value their communities and relationships they have with other local businesses to ensure they are bringing the absolute best to the table. While they are launching a non-transactional site at first, Family Center Farm & Home will be enabling transactions by location starting with Harrisonville in the next few weeks!
Project Overview
- Seamless Integration | Unilog Integrated with FC Farm & Home’s Horizon’s Point of Sale, PayPal as their payment processor, FCVIP club membership and gift card offerings. Integration was a challenge due to stability and API alignment, but all issues have been resolved.
- Expanded Online Presence | FC Farm & Home went live with 47,563 items on their site and continues to grow. Product Grouping for Apparel and Footwear is a big deal for them because they do sell a lot of items in this category. Orgill and Unilog are making strides on improving the taxonomy and product grouping for family farm each day. They are continuing to work with Orgill on enriching and enhancing items to increase the inventory on their site.
- Enhanced Customer Experience | FC Farm & Home provided design guidance and their branding guide to kick off the initial design. They also work with a third-party marketing firm called EAG Advertising that manages the static pages and content. They were very consistent with making updates and modifications to the design and feel comfortable with CIMM2Touch platform.
Key Features & Functionality
- OBDv3 feature “Enabling transactions by location” | The benefit of having this feature allows Family Center to have more control over the release to analyze the associate and customer response to the new site capabilities.
- Unilog Analytics Pro tool | FC Farm & Home had Matomo as part of their initial contract. We grandfathered in FC Farm & Home and applied the Analytics Pro Tool on their site so they can take full advantage of the data collected.
- Special Tax Tables | For customers not using Avalara, the special tax table handles food tax and any other special tax situations. Because the special tax is minimal, these tables help apply the correct tax per item and adds a tax line item at checkout to display the special tax.
- Back in January of 2021, we launched a pilot site for FC Farm & Home so they could test checkout in a live environment internally with their employees while training them on the tool. This was a benefit for all due to the stability issues we were having in the test instance.
- Remove email requirement in Pickup hub when creating user accounts | this was requested by FC Farm & Home. The update eliminated the email requirement when setting up an associate to manage orders through pickup hub.
- Enabled Curbside pickup
