Key Features & Functionality

  • Site allows for a segmented carts. Hikma sells both DEA controlled (CII) and non-controlled drugs. All of the controlled drugs need to check out through a regulated digital signing process (Legisym). So, we support identification of the controlled drugs in a cart and support a two-step checkout where first non-controlled are checked out, followed by the controlled.
  • The site is integrated with Legisym. Legisym is a regulatory system used to authorize and track the purchase of controlled CII drugs. The site utilizes SSO to allow customers to complete checkout of CII purchases and replaces a pre-existing Legisym portal for all customer interactions.
  • Products are arranged in a taxonomy that reflects Molecules
  • Customer specific pricing was not supported by SAP in a traditional price and availability call. In this scenario list price is displayed on the site, and customer prices are displayed in the cart by triggering the shell order call at the cart level.
  • The system also dynamically checks users to confirm their Legisym registration, if a user is not registered than carts containing CII items can only be submitted for approval to include the ability to dynamically assign an approver if a default has not been assigned.
  • The site restricts the sharing of carts outside the user’s company domain.
